Peter Blom is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with a rich background in both the retail and technology sectors. Peter has managed various IT startups. His journey in the retail sector is marked by significant achievements, including the successful sale of his software development businesses in 2006 and 2013. Mid-career Peter served as the Omnichannel Director of a Large Retail Conglomerate in Sports Retail, playing a pivotal role in the company's in-house developments across key IT landscapes, Mainly OMS but also including ERP, WMS, Loyalty, and POS. In 2016 Peter foresaw the evolving market demands in the Distributed Order Management sector and embarked on developing a new, cutting-edge platform based on his personal experiences in the market. This vision led to the establishment of Retail Unity, a venture that leverages its collective expertise in IT and retail operations. As CEO, Peter is at the forefront of Retail Unity's international growth and steered the company to become a globally recognized OMS platform, and the leader in the MENA region for Distributed Order Management. Retail Unity now caters to a diverse clientele, including some of the largest retail and healthcare brands, encompassing high fashion, DIY, and specialized healthcare services.
