Having worked a decade in tech, since the early days of Uber, Amber has launched Uber Eats and Disney+ to more than 120 countries combined throughout Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia, Latin America and The Caribbean. As one of tech’s leading international strategy experts, Amber has worked on all aspects of business from on-the-ground operations set up, go-to-market, pre-market assessments, product and everything in between. Amber has always excelled by combining her high EQ and knack for being a culture connector with powerful analytical thinking and data analysis to map out strategies for some of the world’s biggest brands. Whether she’s launching in Saudi Arabia, Kenya or France - Amber believes there is always a balancing act between hyper-localization and scale, and there’s not a one-size-fits-all right answer but rather key principles to lead decision-making. Rooted in the last 10 years of experience, Amber coined the concept “ROI: Return on Integration” to explain the key pillars she has proven to drive success for global expansion, outside of the traditional market assessments. In 2023, she founded Murai Consulting to help companies define their international expansion strategy, built upon these successful principles that she developed during her launch and strategy tenure. Before becoming an international launcher, Amber worked as one of the first 400 employees at Uber, making it a household app in Atlanta, running marketing campaign efforts. She then moved to focus on building Uber Eats, initially as a launcher, traveling throughout Europe, Middle East & Africa to set up the business operations, and later on the strategy and planning team solving complex business challenges out of Amsterdam. When she moved to Disney+ she led European expansion, from the product perspective and later moved onto launching Asia and parts of Latin America.
