Alaa Mahjoub is an Independent Digital Business Advisor and former Data Management Senior Expert at the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport, with decades of insightful experience in transportation, electric utilities, petroleum, and defense. His expertise spans various governmental and private sector organizations in the EMEA, Far East, and the United States. Active for over 30 years, Alaa has played a pivotal role in Digital Business Transformation, Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS), Enterprise Architecture (EA), Enterprise Information Management (EIM), as well as Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I). He has delivered program leadership, consultancy, and training in the UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Malaysia, Singapore, the UK, and the US. Alaa has been a leading contributor to IACS, EA, EIM, and C4I programs at the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport (DoT), Abu Dhabi Onshore Petroleum Operations Ltd (ADCO), Abu Dhabi Transmission and Dispatch Company (TRANSCO), Injazat Data Systems, and the Egyptian and Kuwaiti Ministries of Defense. Alaa earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Engineering from the Military Technical College (MTC) and Cairo University, respectively. He has lectured, published, and reviewed numerous research papers for prominent organizations such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the International Council on Large Electric Systems (Cigre), and the Arab Union of Electricity. Currently, Alaa's current research interests focus on Generative AI and Cyber-Physical Systems.
