Sudeep Ghai is the Managing Partner of Athena Aviation and specialises in airline strategy, greenfield start-up and commercial turnaround. Athena Aviation is a consulting firm made up a group of practical airline experts who average 23 years in senior line management roles. Our team has worked for 5 of the top ten airlines worldwide – Lufthansa, BA, Emirates, Qatar Airways, and a dozen LCCs. We work on strategy development, restructuring and turnaround, turnkey airline start up and running a better business by providing technical experts in the areas of network and fleet planning, sales performance improvement, ancillary revenue, brand and product development, customer experience design, revenue management and pricing, loyalty, and financial management information.
Sudeep has been working in the aviation sector since 1995: after working as Director International Strategy & Alliances at TWA and in a senior Corporate Strategy role at British Airways, Sudeep co-founded and took on the role of interim Head of Sales at Virgin Nigeria. His most recent airline roles were as Chief Commercial Officer of Sama, Saudi Arabia and the Interim Commercial Director of Al Maha Airways, a new Qatar Airways airline. Recent consulting clients include fastjet, RwandAir, Nigerian investors in a private aviation facility, The Boeing Company and the TUI Group of Airlines. Sudeep was educated at the University of Cambridge and has an MBA from IMD, Switzerland.
Sudeep is also the course trainer for the Terrapinn 3 Day MBA in Aviation which is scheduled to run in Johannesburg on 3rd-5th August 2015
