Alastair Kent OBE, , Retired

Alastair Kent was the executive director of Genetic Alliance UK, the national alliance of over 200 patient support organisations supporting families with rare, genetic and undiagnosed conditions, for almost 25 years. In 2017 he stepped back from this role to become an ambassador for that organisation, finally retiring at the end of April 2018. He now works independently on issues relating to health policy and patient engagement in rare and genetic diseases.
