For the past 11 years, the World Exchange Congress has been bringing together the global exchange community to examine strategy, opportunities and challenges within the finance industry. Launched in London in 2005, the Congress has been hosted in Istanbul, Madrid, Doha, Monaco, Dubai and Barcelona. This year we are heading to Budapest and look forward to welcoming you once more for the 12th annual World Exchange Congress.
For more than a decade, the event has seen attendance from CEOs from virtually every exchange and trading venue in the world, with all regions and continents represented. In 2010, the event expanded to look at technology opportunities and challenges hence our additional focus on CTOs and Heads of Technology. In 2017, the congress continues to be viewed as the unofficial AGM of Exchanges and the most significant date on every exchange executive’s diary.
2016 core topics running through the programme were the growth of financial centres, market integrity and finding ways to succeed through innovation. The 2017 event will focus on the most critical future trends affecting exchanges like cyber security, crowd funding, bitcoin, big data, crypto currency and post-trade automation. These are the topics that will help change the face of the exchange landscape and help prepare organisations for the challenges ahead.
The event in 2017 will also welcome senior representatives from the leading Metals, Petroleum, Currency, Futures and Energy exchanges, as well as Clearing Houses, Regulators and Alternative Trading Venues.
And it doesn’t stop there. The World Exchange Congress was built on a principle of networking through formal and informal interactions . It continues to be the one place that exchanges come to meet their peers and colleagues, benchmark their organisation and share ideas. Interactive exchange-led roundtables in 2017 mean that next year’s event will be no different.
The World Exchange Congress will give 200+ attendees from across the world the opportunity to harness the latest innovations, overcome their biggest challenges and be inspired to drive their organisations forward.
