Dr. Stefano Persiani is currently Director of Translational Sciences at Rottapharm Biotech, Italy. After graduation at the University of Milan, and a one-year scholarship at the National Cancer Institute of Milan, he obtained a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine, and an academic position at the University of Southern California, School of Pharmacy. He then held managerial roles in different pharmaceutical companies in drug R&D and in clinical pharmacology CROs. He also acts as an independent expert evaluator for the European Commission Seventh Framework Program and Innovative Medicine Initiative.
