Stephen Weiss is the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner of Short Hills Capital Partners, an alternative investment fund primarily established to invest the personal wealth of David Tepper, widely regarded as the industry’s most successful investor. SHCP opened to outside investors in 2014. A former tax attorney, Steve has been in the investment industry for 27 years, virtually all of this time involved with hedge funds. He has held senior management positions at Salomon Brothers, SAC Capital, and Lehman Brothers. Additionally, Steve was co-founder and CIO of MSW Asset Management, a long/short equity fund. He is the author of two investment books, The Billion Dollar Mistake and The Big Win, and a novel, UNHedged. Steve regularly appears on CNBC’s top rated Halftime Report and is a sought after public speaker.
