Over the past 10 years, Victor has been focused on investing, building and scaling digital businesses. Graduating with a BA in Economics from the American University of Beirut in 2002, and an MBA from INSEAD in 2011, Victor started his career in 2003 within the financial service industry where he worked as an institutional investor in MENA and North America, working directly with fund managers and institutional pension plans. Victor then changed focus in 2012 when he worked for Intigral, closely managing corporates and start-ups, such as Saudi Telecom Company, to set up and run corporate accelerators. More recently in 2017, Victor was focused on scale-ups through his tenure at Precinct Partners, a venture and growth company based in Dubai. Now, as the General Manager at Careem UAE, Victor has joined to contribute to its goal of becoming the region’s first Super App. As a venture capitalist, he has acquired a deep understanding of multiple industries and business functions which are of utmost value throughout his journey at Careem. Having total belief in Careem’s mission and vision, Victor works alongside the rest of the Careem team as the company continues to improve the lives of people in the region as well as inspire entrepreneurs to start and build new ventures that can leapfrog the region further into the future. As a big believer in Careem’s Super App strategy, it will not only be beneficial in terms of its business model but also provides a positive impact in the region.
