Mr. Sayed Habib is the General Manager Business Development at Danube Home, the region’s leading retail name in home interior and home improvement solutions, operating ___ stores in 14 countries.
While managing the strategic and business development division, Mr. Habib has played an integral role in the growth of Danube Home. Under his watchful eyes, Danube Home has expanded its global footprint in countries like Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Armenia, Seychelles, Lebanon, Rwanda, Djibouti, and Egypt.
In his current role as General Manager, he is responsible for designing the overall strategy, managing people & expenses, instituting policies, and defining the vision for future growth. His corporate functions include formulating strategic objectives for Danube Home’s strategic foray into the online territory and building a roadmap for the company’s future digital presence. As an integral part of Danube Home’s Think Tank, he is involved in identifying growth opportunities, mitigating risks, and new business development.
Prior to joining Danube Home, he headed the Sales & Marketing at Mega Carpets Company – a Dubai-based manufacturer of rugs & carpets – where he spearheaded and conceptualized strategic marketing policies, expanded the business to overseas markets by roping in multinational clients, improved quality standards, and transformed the company into a prime supplier for mega stores and brands. He was responsible for consolidating the brand’s position in the domestic market before expanding it into the international arena.
During his tenure with ICIC Bank, he propelled the Automobile Commercial Vehicle Loans Department to new heights by exploring untapped territories, redefining credit policies, and setting off on a new strategic direction. His uncanny ability related to managing the credit risk and exploring unchartered territories strengthened the bank’s reputation, increased market share, and improved revenue generation.
The story of Danube Home – the retail arm of Danube Group – is incomplete without giving due credit to the numerous invaluable contributions made by Mr. Habib in the past decade. He has played a pivotal role in introducing new product portfolios, building brand equity from grounds up, developing a unique retail concept, and getting himself involved in the strategic development of the business in the Middle East, all of which combined resulted in bringing the brand on par with other established players. He is also credited with the development of Danube Home’s e-commerce ecosystem, which is contributing significantly to the growth targets. In the year 20.., Mr. Habib launched the Franchisee Division, which is taking the company beyond the borders, reinforcing the brand’s image and establishing the brand’s global presence. His ability to offer end-to-end services, from reading the balance sheets to the sourcing of products and development of new business territories, helped Danube Home establish a robust overseas presence.
Under his dynamic leadership, Danube Home has won many accolades which include winning the Retail Excellence Award 2019, Great Place to Work Award, and Dubai Quality Award.
Today, he leads the Business Development Division, E-commerce Department, Franchisee Division, and Loyalty Program.
