Prof G.L.D. Wickramasinghe is the Director-General of the CPSC and the president of the APACC, Philippines. He was a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Vocational Technology, SriLanka. He received B.Sc.Engineering degree from University of Moratuwa, SriLanka; PhD from the University of Manchester, UK; MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management; and PGCertificate in Teaching from the University of Arts London. He is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Engineering Council Sri Lanka. He is a Professor of the University of Moratuwa and served as a Head of Department of Textiles and the Chairman of the Centre for Open and Distance Learning, UOM. He also served as a Member and Chairman of Board of Director of various public and private sector organizations.  He has published over 60 research publications, of which over 30 are international indexed journal publications. He was honored with 18 national and international awards.
