Marc Oswald, Co-Founder And Chief Executive Officer, Open Assessment Technologies

Marc Oswald is co-founder and CEO of Open Assessment Technologies S.A., and is a vocal proponent of interoperability through industry standards. Marc also serves as chairman of the IMS Executive Board on Assessment (EBA), which launched in May 2015 with the goal to significantly improve the interoperability of assessment content based on the QTI standard. The EBA now counts 23 member organizations, including Pearson, CTB/McGraw-Hill, Measured Progress, as well as leading end-user organizations such as PARCC, Smarter Balanced, NCSC plus individual states and school districts. Prior to OAT, Marc served on the boards of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) and the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) from which he received a lifetime achievement award for his work on solutions interoperability.
