Justin Kilgore, Steam Coach, Shanghai Singapore International School

Justin is currently the Acting Head of STEAM at Shanghai Singapore International School (SSIS) in Shanghai. The SSIS STEAM Lab is comprised of a Lego Discovery Space, Green Screen Audiovisual Lab, Robotics Lab, Makerspace, and a Fab Lab. His past roles have centered around the primary school setting. They included teacher-centered and student-centered technology training, developing flipped and blended learning platforms, math coaching, integration of robotics into the core curriculum, building STEAM principles into the everyday classroom, and managing Makerspaces. He has been teaching primary and middle school students robotics for the past 15 years, starting with Lego's RCX brick. At SSIS, he has rolled out the STEAM program including robotics and coding initiatives, parent workshops, teacher training, and school-wide STEAM culture building. He manages STEAM projects, resources, curriculum coaching and integrations, budgeting, and staff for SSIS's STEAM Lab.
