We had the pleasure of welcoming Col. Christian Ockenhouse, MD PhD, Director of the Division of Malaria Vaccine Development US Military Malaria Vaccine Program at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, as one of our keynote presenters on Day 3 of this year’s 12th annual World Vaccine Congress Washington.

Col. Ockenhouse shared with us his teams very important research malaria vaccines and gave us an outlook for the next 5 years. Are we any closer to a malaria vaccine fit for the FDA?

In his presentation he also touched upon the fact that malaria vaccines can be a useful model for proof of concept technology platform testing.
