Working in the Telecom business since graduation in Engenharia Electrotécnica e de Computadores by IST Lisbon in 1992. Worked at Telecom Portugal, Philips Portuguesa and in 1996 joined Maxitel which was one of the very first private TELCO in the then recently liberalized Portuguese Market. Most relevant projects included the sale of the Satellite Projects to the Portuguese Armed Forces deployed to Bósnia, Kosovo and East Timor, OSCE in the Balcans, Radio bradcasters, X.25 networks and SDH. In 2001 joined Refer Telecom, a Spin-off of Refer EPE, and introduced the first consistent commercial offer for leased Optical Dark Fiber in Portugal. Among customers and business carried on along the years are customers such as NOS, Vodafone, GOOGLE, Microsoft, Cogent, EXA, StartCampus, DEC-IX, DIGI, ONI, FCT, IBM, Axians, Abertis, APDL, BaneDK, Thales, Conselho Finanças Publicas, Ministério Economia, Ministério Administração Interna, Presidência Conselho Ministros, CEGER, Procuradoria-Geral da República, Presidência da República, Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira, EMGFA, Marinha, Operador CP, Agência de Coesão, ANACOM, among many others. Presently is responsible for implementing Atlantic CAM Submarine Cable project and the new Inter Islands Atlantic Azores.
