Caroline Berns, Head of Talent Acquisition - Middle East & Africa, Ericsson SA (Pty) Ltd

Caroline Berns is the Head of Talent Acquisition for Ericsson sub-Saharan Africa. Born in Germany, she lived in the US and various countries in Europe until 2012, when she moved to South Africa. Her background is Software Engineering, but she discovered shortly after graduating that Talent Acquisition is her real passion.
Caroline joined the ICT Recruitment specialist Experis (Manpower Group) in 2005 before moving to Ericsson in 2012. Currently, her work spans across 43 countries in Africa, and she loves the cultural diversity the region is offering. Raising awareness of Diversity and Inclusion is a topic Caroline cares about deeply, she is an advisor to the local D&I council at Ericsson, has been writing a weekly D&I blog since 2014 and supports various local D&I projects and initiatives, especially in regards to girls in STEM.
