Taimur Khilji is an Economist with the United Nations in Botswana, where he leads country-level economic analysis and advises the Government of Botswana on economic policy. With over two decades of experience across the UN system, he has advised more than 20 governments in Asia and Africa on macroeconomic policy, energy transition, private sector development, inequality, and youth employment. He previously served as Speechwriter to the UN Assistant Secretary-General and Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific. Taimur holds degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy from Williams College and the University of Oxford, and a Master's in Economics from The New School for Social Research.
