Rodrigo Moretón holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering and a PhD in Solar Energy from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. With over 17 years of experience in the PV sector, he is an expert in quality control of photovoltaic installations, monitoring systems development, and technical advisory services. He has participated in key European R&D initiatives such as PVCROPS, SerendiPV, PVOp, CO2Framed, Aurora, and Maslowaten, and has contributed to over 15 scientific publications in renowned journals such as Progress in Photovoltaics, Solar Energy, and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews.
As co-founder and CEO of Qualifying Photovoltaics, a Spanish tech company, he leads the management of PV projects throughout their life cycle, ensuring equipment quality, optimizing production capacity, and reducing operational costs. Under his leadership, the company has performed Consultancy & Testing Laboratory ISO 17025 assessments for projects totaling exceeding 20GW.
