Established in 1989, Al Yamamah Steel Industries Company embarked on a mission to build a robust industrial base in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to support the Kingdom’s industrial transformation.
The company commenced operations in 1990 with its first steel pipes production facility in Jeddah, laying the groundwork for a diversified and sustainable industrial presence. With a strategic vision to contribute to national economic growth and reduce dependency on oil revenues, Al Yamamah Steel pursued a broad industrial expansion across complementary sectors.
Between 2005 and 2008, the company broadened its portfolio with the establishment of the Al Yamamah Electrical Poles and Accessories Factory and Al Yamamah Company for Reinforcing Steel Bars, further reinforcing its commitment to supporting infrastructure development in the Kingdom.
In 2010, Al Yamamah Steel launched its Steel Electric Power Towers Factory in Jeddah, followed by the inauguration of a second Steel Pipes Factory in Dammam in 2013—enhancing production capacity and geographic reach.
A significant milestone was achieved in 2016 when the company became a publicly listed Saudi Joint Stock Company, marking a new era of growth, transparency, and investor confidence.
In line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the global energy transition, Al Yamamah Steel took a strategic leap into the renewable energy sector. In 2018, the company established the Al Yamamah Solar Power Systems Factory in Jeddah, followed by the commencement of production at the Al Yamamah Wind Power Systems Factory in Yanbu Industrial City in 2025—underscoring its commitment to a sustainable energy future.
