SEMAF Factory, one of A.O.I Factories , have more than 68 years experience in Railways Rolling Stock Industries, specialized in producing different types of Railways ( freight wagon, Passenger Coaches, Power Coaches),Subway Metros and Tram Cars, the Factory is ISO 9001 , ISO 14001and IEC 17025 Certified . SEMAF established 1955 at Ein Helwan Industrial Zone with area 150000 m2 in collaboration with a Belgian company to cover Egypt needs in Railway field. The manufacturing progress started with freight wagons, then in 1969 passenger coaches , tram cars in 1978 in cooperation with companies Kinki, Toshiba and Mitsubishi, and subway metro trains in cooperation with major international companies like Alstom , Mitsubishi , Hyundai Rotem since 1988 .
