Simone Pettigrew, Program Head, The George Institute For Global Health University Of New South Wales

Simone is a Professorial Fellow at The George Institute for Global Health and will be an invaluable addition to the connected and automated vehicles stream on the panel discussing 'Public trust in technology: How do we bridge the gap?'. She holds a Bachelor of Economics, a Master of Commerce, and a PhD in Consumer Research. Her interest in autonomous vehicles lies in their potential to improve public health across the domains of crash prevention, reduced emissions, enhanced mobility for the elderly and disabled, and access to nutritious foods. Her work has focused on consumer attitudes to autonomous vehicles and how these can be enhanced through various forms of education and exposure to driverless vehicles.
