HBCEA was founded between 1982 and 1987, during the time when Professor Decha (LT Decha Kittasuwang, Royal Navy) as the Engineering Manager at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel from 1982 to 1987. He had frequently discussed with close associates for the idea of bringing engineers who working in various hotels to create a cohesive group. The purpose was to meet, exchange knowledge, ideas, and experiences, as well as to pass new technology so that engineers could improve the efficiency of their organizations.

Objectives of the Association:

To exchange knowledge, skills, experiences, and opinions to maximize benefits for organizational development and to enhance the knowledge and abilities of members.
To serve as a center for studying, researching, surveying, and discovering new technologies, as well as recruiting speakers and experts to implement in the organization.
To promote and seek academic support from both government and private sectors to develop practical guidelines that align with government regulations and international standards.
To study, research, and develop energy-saving measures and cost reduction in all forms to maximize benefits for the parent organization.
To promote cultural activities, as well as energy conservation and environmental protection.
To meet and socialize, fostering unity among members and their families, and providing mutual support according to their status.
To promote governance under a democratic system with the King as the Head of State, maintaining neutrality and not supporting any political parties or politicians financially or with assets.
