Michael Blake is Founder and Executive Director of the ANZ Clean Freight Council — the industry body bringing operators, shippers, carbon market participants, infrastructure players and government together to accelerate zero emission freight across Australia and New Zealand, whatever the transport mode and whatever the fuel. He's spent 25+ years in global logistics, most of it hands on — moving freight, running operations, and learning the hard way where the theory breaks. For nearly a decade that experience has been pointed at transport emissions: measuring them properly, cutting them practically, and translating standards like ISO 14083 and the GLEC Framework into decisions an operator can actually make. Through Blake Advisory he advises operators and shippers directly; having also co-founded Laderen Metrics. Michael is helping the ANZ freight sector navigate the complex task of decarbonisation and champions pragmatic, scalable pathways to lower emissions freight — and brings an operator's perspective to the stage, because that's where he's from.
