Bisma is one of the youngest researchers in Australia specialising in sustainable transport research, currently based at UNSW Canberra (ADFA), specialising in transport modelling and behavioural analysis. Her research extends beyond EV adoption in Australia to understanding how continued EV usage can be sustained over time. She focuses on EV users’ pre-purchase expectations regarding government policies, policymakers, and manufacturers, as well as their post-purchase experiences, examining key factors such as vehicle functionality, support and service quality, social status considerations, and environmental motivations. Her work analyses how these factors influence user satisfaction and dissatisfaction across all Australian states. In addition, her research explores user perceptions of different EV brands and body types, and how these factors influence their decision-making process. Bisma has strong expertise in structural equation modelling and discrete choice modelling, applying advanced quantitative methods to investigate consumer decision-making in the transport sector. She is currently serving as one of the youngest General Committee Members of the Australian Electric Vehicle Association and is also the President of the Student Sub-Committee at the Australian Transport Research Forum, actively contributing to research engagement and industry collaboration across Australia.
