Thomas Herbert is an accomplished engineering and business leader with over two decades of experience in automotive safety and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Currently serving as a Product Director at Magna Electronics, he leads global teams in pre-development initiatives, market analysis, and strategic planning to drive business growth.

Previously, Thomas held leadership roles at Veoneer, Autoliv, and TRW, where he spearheaded business development, managed global sales, and played a pivotal role in the launch of innovative passive and active safety technologies, including airbags, seatbelts, and driver monitoring systems.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Oakland University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Thomas has been a member and advisor for various industry organizations, including the Automotive Safety Council, Alliance for Automotive Innovation, CLEPA, and the MIT Advanced Vehicle Technology Consortium.

With various patents, he continues to drive innovation in vehicle safety. Beyond his professional career, Thomas enjoys golfing, traveling, and technology, and he values family, having been married for over 25 years with two children.
