Prof. Sebastien “Seb” Glaser is a lead researcher at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) specialising in automated and connected vehicles (AV/CAV), road safety, and future mobility systems, sitting between the Faculty of Health and the Faculty of Engineering. He is Director of the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre “AVR3”, which addresses autonomy in rural and remote regions. Seb leads multi-partner programs with government and industry (iMOVE CRC, the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, NTRO, Port of Brisbane, RACQ, IAG, and Ford) building national research infrastructure such as instrumented vehicles, remote-operation facilities, and high-fidelity digital twins. His work spans safety assurance, human-automation interaction, and deployment pathways, with a strong emphasis on open, interoperable solutions and workforce upskilling to accelerate safe, equitable, and sustainable transport.
