Melanie Suitor has just clocked up 23 years as the Road Safety and Injury Prevention Officer for Parkes, Forbes and Lachlan Shire Councils.  She loves the diversity of her role and knowing her work helps to make her local communities safer.  During her time at the Councils’ she has had extensive experience in project management, media liaison, grant writing, analysing crash data, guest speaking, event management, road safety audits, site inspections and observations, traffic management and much more.  She enjoys working with a wide variety of stakeholders and says it's not very often that you have a job that really touches people's lives.
