Jinjiang Zhong, Principal Engineer-Road Asset Management, Logan City Council

Jin received his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China in 2002. In 2003, he continued his postgraduate studies at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. In 2005, he joined Waitakere City Council in Auckland as a transport engineer. In 2009, he was recruited by the Singapore government and joined the Land Transport Authority. In 2011, he moved to Australia and joined ARRB Group’s Brisbane office as a Senior Asset Management Engineer. In 2015, he returned to the public sector by joining Logan City Council. He currently holds the role of Principal Engineer—Road Asset Management at Logan City Council, where he oversees the city's road network maintenance and rehabilitation program. His responsibilities include road network data collection, condition modeling, maintenance and rehabilitation program development, pavement assessment, and design. Jin is a Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia and a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland.
