Haitham is a senior electrical engineer with more than 15 years of experience in the design and design review of the electrical systems for tens of large-scale projects at DAR. He worked on, managed, and delivered various types of projects including healthcare facilities, railways, mixed use developments, educational facilities, water and sewage water treatment plants, infrastructure, and master planning.
Haitham holds the PhD in electrical engineering, his PHD research focused on the optimal integration of Wind and Solar Distributed Generations with Battery Energy Storage Systems, Capacitor Banks and Demand Response in distribution networks. Haitham is passionate about the energy transition in electricity markets, he has a deep knowledge about Wind and Solar Renewable Energy Resources, Battery Energy Storage Systems and microgrids integration in electricity networks. He is also a Project Management Professional (PMP) and LEED Accredited Professional (AP) specialized in building design and construction.
