Denis Korchunov, Regional Sustainable Energy Specialist, UNDP Regional Hub for Arab States, Amman, Jordan

Denis Korchunov is a Regional Sustainable Energy Specialist with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where he provides support on energy to UNDP Country offices across the Middle East and North Africa. UNDP is today the UN’s largest implementer of grant assistance for environmental sustainability in the region, with over 75 projects and $300 million of grants for local action across the region.
Denis brings extensive and diverse sustainable energy and climate change experience from 3 regions and over 20 countries. He has a track record helping Arab countries expand low carbon, renewable energy and energy efficient solutions in the key sectors like infrastructure, buildings, and construction, in line with SDG7 on energy. Denis holds degrees in civil law and sustainable energy
