Joseph Adetuberu, Head Commercial Operations, Heirs Energies

Joseph Adetuberu is currently the Head of Commercial Operations at Heirs Energies Limited (formerly Heirs Holdings Oil and Gas Limited), a leading integrated energy company in Africa, and an operator of the Oil and Gas Block OML17. He is a seasoned professional with invaluable experience in the Oil and Gas, Energy, and Utilities sector. Prior to his role, he oversaw Commercial operations (Gas and Power) with the Sahara Power Group (a subsidiary of Sahara Group) and was an Inspection Engineer with Totalenergies Limited. His responsibilities at Heirs Energies encompass a wide range of activities aimed at ensuring the commercial framing, structuring, success, and profitability of the business operations, driving revenue generation, Crude and Gas supply/offtake both domestically and internationally, from origination to contracting and execution. He is sought after for negotiations within the energy space. He has a strong academic background and a proven track record in the industry. Joseph has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the energy market, business operations, strategic planning, Gas Supply, and power purchase agreements, including other commercial and business development activities, emission reduction & purchase agreement (ERPA), and has participated as a major player in acquisitions, policy framing and cost optimization campaigns. He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan, and an MSc in Petroleum Engineering and Project Development from the Institute of Petroleum Studies, University of Port-Harcourt, Nigeria/IFP School France. Joseph is a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and has several awards including the Most Supportive Personality in the Power Sector (2021) and a member of the International Association of Engineers, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Nigerian Gas Association and Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
