Declan Morkel is a Renewable Energy Engineer for WSP, where he performs various roles, including Owners Engineer, Independant Engineer and Lenders Technical Advisory. He is motivated by making a difference in the just energy transition and contributing towards the development of the renewables industry in South Africa. He has a strong background in project team-based environments, focusing on, design, optimisation and project development. He has practical experience in electrical design, energy industry policy and management experience.
