He currently leads national strategy and business development initiatives, focusing on energy transition and market reform. Silesh holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering and is a Certified Energy Manager and Auditor. His career spans SCADA systems, energy efficiency, demand-side management, energy trading, and strategic innovation. Known for his systems thinking and cross-functional leadership, Silesh has pioneered impactful strategy projects including prepaid smart metering revenue collection pilot at an ailing municipality, microgrid concept development, and Eskom’s framework for small-scale embedded generation. His insights and experience make him a valuable thought leader in shaping the future of energy in Southern Africa
