Qhakazile Mathebula is a seasoned, multiple award-winning energy infrastructure leader, global speaker, and senior programme and project management professional with over 22 years of experience in the electricity and renewable energy sector. She currently serves at City Power, where she leads large-scale capital infrastructure programmes focused on grid expansion, modernisation, and the integration of renewable energy solutions, including solar PV and battery energy storage systems. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Risk Management Professional (RMP), Qhakazile brings deep expertise in programme governance, EPC project execution, contract and risk management, and public-sector infrastructure delivery. She is currently advancing her portfolio leadership capabilities through preparation for the Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) certification. Qhakazile is pursuing an Executive MBA at IE Business School, with an expected graduation in May 2027.
