Greg Cress is a Principal Director at Accenture South Africa, leading the Automotive & eMobility practice. With 26 years of experience delivering digital transformation projects for clients operating in the telecoms and automotive industries across the Southern African region, Greg is a leading advocate within Accenture for Futures Thinking and navigating technology disruptions, having established a scenario planning consultancy prior to joining Accenture. With the transportation and mobility industries currently going through profound levels of transformation, Greg works closely with Automotive, Energy, Retail, Mining and Logistics clients to capitalise on opportunities for growth in mobility. Greg is also the owner of the YouTube Channel The Electric One where he posts content on EVs, charging infrastructure and the sustainable mobility transition. Greg has previously worked with Siemens, Nokia Siemens Networks and a tech start-up called Luminet Communications, holds a BSc in Electronic Engineering from UKZN and an MBA from Oxford Brookes University, and has various short-course qualifications from both INSEAD and MIT Management Sloane School.
