I am a molecular biologist by training with a taste for electronics, programming and computers in general. Before my PhD I've honed my computer and programming skills via several internships where I improved or developed from scratch, algorithms that automatically analyse images relevant to biological studies. Sometimes they were images of eggs and sometimes colonies of bacteria. After completing my PhD and PostDoc where I used microfluidics, microscopy, genetics and biochemistry to uncover how bacteria are able to control their sizes; currently I am working as a Scientist at DSM-firmenich focusing on lab and data analysis automation specifically aimed at strain engineering, small scale fermentation and high throughput screening.
