Christopher Scott, Clinical Coordinator, East Midlands Ambulance Service N.H.S. Trust

48 yrs old, Married with 2 children.  I  began my ambulance service career with LAS, moved to the then East Anglian ambulance service in 1999, completed paramedic and later ECP training in 2008. I have been working in AOC’s since 2013 as a clinical coordinator.  My role is of a clinical risk manager and 1st line clinical lead to AOC.  We work a 24/7 rota offering support to all staff when on duty either in AOC or operational staff  via ambulance service clinical advice line.  I Directly line manage our AOC clinicians triaging low acuity calls.  As part of my role I help to introduce our original policy that enabled us to manage our frequent callers differently than we ever had.  This has evolved to where we are now with a dedicated FC lead Helen Burtrand  and her team.  My role is now of ensuring the policy is followed and have oversite of any frequent callers whilst on duty.
