Johnny T. Samino is a Master Teacher I at DepEd Naga City where Johnny handles teaching workloads and coaching, including organizing enrichment activities involving expansive learning technologies for both educators and learners in the Bicol Region. Johnny inspires and guides students to innovate as highlighted by his taking the research adviser’s role for a group of high school students who won the Second Grand Award in the prestigious International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) on the Physical Science Category last May 2018 in Pennsylvania, USA. The Jesse M. Robredo Youth Leadership Award was bestowed upon him by the Naga City Government in recognition of his role as a lead innovator in using learning technologies in student researches. His innovations in STEM education was recognized by the Department of Science and Technology through the Science Teacher Academy in the Region (STAR) Award. For eighteen years teaching Science subjects, Johnny is not only an untiring teacher but a colleague to his co-teachers to whom he gives time to mentor and to share the best practices that he has tested in his classroom. He goes beyond his school to other schools and the community to extend his services as a trainer, and mover for pre-service and in-service teacher training. With the recognition of his accomplishments and passion for teaching, Johnny has been sought to speak in various training and workshops.
