Amiel too his Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Mathematics degree at the Rizal Technological University in Mandaluyong. After graduating, he immediately took the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). He pursued his graduate studies and enrolled at the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU). Amiel took Master of Science in Mathematics Education under the Mathematics Department with full scholarship. Amiel also introduced changes in the DepEd such as the use of technology, the conduct of research, etc. Graduate studies also opened me to various academic endeavors as well. He was able to write research papers in collaboration with my classmates (one of them is Jose Lorenzo Sin). This was later published locally. He was also invited by Rizal Technological University and other schools to become guest speaker for Mathematics Education students. His thesis for the graduate school centers on the identification scheme of mathematically gifted students through the conduct of Mathematical competitions in the Philippines. This resesrch has been presented internationally at the International Conference on Teacher Education (ICTED) and has been gladly accepted by teachers. As of now, Amiel is currently employed at the University of Santo Tomas Senior High School teaching Mathematics and Research subjects.
