Ian Myatt, Director of Insight, Channels & Educational Enterprise, University of Birmingham

Ian is Director of Insight, Channels and Educational Enterprise at the University of Birmingham where he is responsible for a growing portfolio of digital initiatives including the development of the world’s first fully online MBA to receive accreditation by the Association of MBA’s. He also leads on successful relationships with FutureLearn, Wiley Education Services and LinkedIn Learning.

Prior to joining the University he was Head of Knowledge and Learning at BBC Online where he led the multidisciplinary team behind all factual websites including BBC Food and BBC Bitesize. Highlights of his career include working on the roll out of BBC News Online across the UK and the launch of BBC iPlayer.

Ian is also a Governor of Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School in Sutton Coldfield and is a trustee of B:Music, the charity responsible for Symphony Hall and Town Hall in Birmingham.
