Via Afrika Publishers is a leading publisher of quality educational textbooks and related material for South Africa and southern African countries. With sixty-three years of experience, the company is able to publish materials that meet the needs of learners from early childhood development up to Grade 12 and FET (vocational) Levels 2 to 4 as well as Adult Education learners in print and electronic formats.
Via Afrika Publishers’ ownership is made up of a 30% shareholding by Thebe Investment Holdings (Via Afrika Publishers’ Black Economic Empowerment Partner) and a 70% shareholding by Media24. Media24 itself has a 45% Black Economic Empowerment shareholding through the Welcome Yizani black empowerment share scheme that has put Media24 shares into the hands of more than 100 000 black South Africans.
