Eng. Paul Kabaale is the General Manager – SHREQ with Rift Valley Railways. In this role, Eng. Kabaale leads a team of professionals providing operational QHSE technical support to the multi- million Kenya-Uganda rail concession turn-around projects in order to fulfill lender compliance requirements and enhance the, effective integration of safety, occupational health, environmental and social aspects into project activities.
Eng. Kabaale is no stranger to development and implementation of safety management systems having spent 10 years in the oil and gas industry, where he developed and implemented operational safety and emergency response plans for oil rigs, refineries and downstream logistics terminals.
Prior to joining Rift Valley Railways in January 2011, Eng. Kabaale spent 3 years in the upstream oil and gas sector as an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor - Exploration with Tullow Oil and 7 years in the downstream oil and gas sector as a Senior Logistics Operational Excellence – Health Environment & Safety (OE-HES) Specialist with Chevron.
