AUT - Virtual Reality for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (Happihands)

Exhibitor

Happihands is an immersive VR experience designed for people living with chronic hand pain, including Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. It enables users to creatively modify the appearance of their affected hand—adjusting size, shape, transparency, and skin tone—before participating in games promoting precision hand movement. By blending visual illusion with immersive gameplay, Happihands aims to shift the user's sensory experience, allowing them to experiment with movement more comfortably, at their own pace. We are showcasing our prototype to connect with digital health innovators and potential partners interested in the future of embodied health technologies.
