Medtech-iQ Aotearoa is New Zealand’s national MedTech innovation hub.

It provides a coordinated platform that brings together research, clinical expertise, industry and investment to accelerate the development of medical technologies from early discovery through to global markets.

Medtech-iQ Aotearoa:

• connects and aligns national capability,
• fills critical gaps in the translation pathway, and
• creates a visible, accessible interface for international partners.

Through four regional hubs, Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), Waitaha (Christchurch), Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington), and Ōtepoti (Dunedin), Medtech-iQ Aotearoa combines local depth with national scale, anchored in universities, regional hospitals and local government economic agencies.

Its foundational programmes, Te Tītoki Mataora| MedTech Research Translator, BioBridge, and the HealthTech Activator, provide a clear, end-to-end pathway from research to venture and market readiness.
