Anthony Pizzari joined the Federal Government of Canada in 2000 and worked as an Immigration Officer at Pearson Airport in Toronto, Canada. In 2003 he worked as a Hearings Officer where he presented cases in front of the Immigration and Refugee Board for the newly formed Canada Border Services Agency.
From 2005 to 2013 he worked in the Document Analysis Unit of the CBSA Intelligence Section in Toronto. In 2013 he was posted to the Deputy High Commission of Canada in Lagos, Nigeria and in 2015 to the Embassy of Canada in Bejing, China as a visa officer with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
In September 2017 he returned to Canada as a Senior Program Officer at the National Document Centre in Ottawa. In this role, he works with national and international partners for information exchange on issues relating to fraudulent document as well as developing, delivering document examination training for CBSA Officers and producing Alerts to assist identifying emerging trends in document fraud and irregular migration.
