Patrick Caubel is Chief Safety Officer and Global Head of Worldwide Safety for Pfizer . Patrick earned his M.D. degree, with specialization in Gynecology, Obstetrics and Oncology, from the University of Paris XIII (France), followed by a Ph.D. in Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology from the University of Paris VII (France) and later a M.B.A from Rutgers University. He worked in positions of increasing responsibility first in academia, and subsequently for Merck KgaA in Germany followed by Johnson & Johnson in the United States. Patrick led Global Pharmacovigilance at Sanofi-Pasteur (vaccine division of the Sanofi group), before being promoted to Sanofi-Pharma as Global Head of Pharmacovigilance & Epidemiology. Patrick Joined Pfizer in his current role at Pfizer in March 2014. Patrick played a leadership role in Pfizer’s response to COVID-19, and in particular in the development and global deployment of the Pfizer-Bio-N-Tech vaccines. Patrick has numerous publications in the areas of reproductive medicine, epidemiology and pharmacovigilance. Pfizer Worldwide Safety has a global presence, and is in charge of safety monitoring and reporting for all Pfizer products around the globe.
