Dr Adeniyi Olagunju is a Tenure Track Fellow in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics and a member of the Centre of Excellence for Long-acting Therapeutics (CELT) where ongoing cutting-edge innovative research will transform drug delivery strategies for major disease burdens. He leads the Perinatal Pharmacology Group within CELT. Previous projects involved investigating the impact of maternal adaptations, host genetics and/or drug-drug interactions on drug exposure during pregnancy and lactation. A major focus of his research is using a three-pronged strategy (clinical research, in silico models and human-relevant in vitro models) to understand the pharmacology of therapeutics during the pregnancy and postpartum periods. He is a research was funded by the Wellcome Trust.
