Dr Thomas Breuer | Senior Vice President, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Thomas Breuer, is CMO for GSK Vaccines. He leads the Global Medical & Scientific Affairs organization, Safety & Pharmacovigilance and Access functions such as Health Economics, Outcome Research & Epidemiology. He is a member of the Executive Management team of GSK Vaccines.
From 2007-2015 Dr. Breuer ran the Vaccines Development organization and he has been instrumental in the development and licensure of many of GSK’s Vaccines.
 
Before joining GSK in 2001, Dr. Breuer had a career in Internal Medicine and Public Health. After a six-year career in patient care he worked at the US Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, before joining the German Public Health Institute (Robert Koch Institut) as Head of Infectious Disease Epidemiology in Berlin.
 
Dr. Breuer has a Doctors degree in Medicine and is certified in Internal Medicine in Germany. In addition, he has a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from the University of Texas, USA.
