Christopher Egerton-Warburton, Fund Manager, Global Health Investment Fund

Christopher Egerton-Warburton (“Edge”) has been a leader in the field of innovative financing for Global Health for the past 10 years.  Formerly with Goldman Sachs (1993-2007), where he headed the Sovereign Supranational and Agency Debt Capital Markets group, Christopher led the team of bankers that established the International Finance Facility for Immunisation (IFFIm) which has raised over $4bn since 2006 to fund the purchase of vaccines for developing countries through GAVI.
In 2007, together with two colleagues from Goldman Sachs, Christopher founded Lion’s Head Global Partners, a specialist firm dedicated to bringing capital markets solutions to development in emerging economies.  Through the Global Health Investment Fund, Lion’s Head brings classical fund management skills to the field of Global Health Research and Development for the first time.

Christopher holds a masters degree in biochemistry from Oxford University.
