Mothanna Gharaibeh, CEO, The Fifth for Consulting Services

Mothanna Gharaibeh, CEO of Fifth, a semiconductor design company whose mission is to empower the semiconductor industry with cutting-edge design solutions with top-tier Jordanian talent and strong partnerships with industry leaders. The Fifth has a team with a proven track record of delivering innovative designs and high-quality products that meet the unique needs of their clients. Gharaibeh chairs Nova Call Centers and Enjez Technologies, aiming to generate 5,000 jobs in Jordan to meet global talent demands. Gharaibeh is an executive board member of the Innovative SMEs & Startups Fund, a $100 million SME fund backed by the Jordanian Central Bank and World Bank.Served as Jordan's Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (2018-2020). Under his leadership, Business Process Outsourcing doubled in two years and attracted new companies to tap into Jordan's skilled workforce. Gharaibeh achieved a 580% YoY growth in digital governmental transactions, promoted the National Broadband Network for Public-Private Partnership, and enhanced digital infrastructure through key regulations including Cyber Security and Personal Data Privacy. During COVID-19, Gharaibeh collaborated with Jordan's ICT and startup communities to create vital solutions, including online education platforms, telemedicine hotlines, blockchain permit systems, food delivery services, and cultural recreation platforms.As a Member of the Economic Development Committee, Gharaibeh actively participated in crucial negotiations within the European Union to secure tax exemptions for exported services, aiming to foster economic growth and competitiveness. Additionally, he played a pivotal role as a team member in coordinating the prestigious London Initiative conference, facilitating discussions and collaborations aimed at bolstering economic development initiatives. Furthermore, he had the honor of representing His Majesty's delegation in Singapore, where he engaged with pertinent ministers to discuss bilateral economic partnerships. Moreover, Gharaibeh conducted ministerial meetings in the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, and Lebanon, fostering diplomatic relations and exploring avenues for economic cooperation and development in these nations. He led Ericsson's business operations in Jordan and in the region, Gharaibeh holds a BEng in Communications Engineering and completed executive courses at Harvard, Aspen Institute, and Ericsson's leadership program. Before the ministry, he was a prominent political and social activist, serving in various community leadership roles and boards.
